‘They Set the Bar High’ — 5-Star Safety Bralan Womack Raves About Rising SEC Program After Official Visit

The battle for the nation’s top recruits is heating up again, and this time, Bralan Womack, a five-star safety, is at the center of the conversation. Given his elite status, he already has 31 college offers in hand.

But the surprising twist is that Florida, which hasn’t been the strongest in the 2026 recruiting class, appears to have the upper hand in securing Womack’s commitment. The 5-star recruit from Hartfield Academy in Mississippi has been heavily pursued by Florida, Ohio State, Texas A&M, and Auburn, but his latest visit to the Gators left a lasting impression.

Bralan Womack Impressed by SEC Program on Third Official Visit

In April 2025, Womack visited Ohio State and was impressed by the Buckeyes’ environment. At the time, On3’s Steve Wiltfong reported that Ohio State had taken the lead in his recruitment.

“Ohio State is No. 1 now. I’m just ready to get back for my official visit,” Womack said via On3.

However, recent reports suggest that his focus has shifted to the Florida Gators. After making his third official visit to Gainesville, Womack appeared to be won over by the program.

Speaking to On3, he praised Florida, saying, “From start to finish, they set the bar high.”

Womack is currently ranked as the No. 1 safety in the 2026 recruiting class. Naturally, top-tier colleges are battling to recruit him. With 31 offers in hand, the Ocala native is in immense confusion.

Every university he visits seems to leave a strong impression, making his decision even harder.

Womack has been a standout player at Hartfield Academy in Mississippi. During his junior year, he made 39 tackles and snagged eight interceptions, earning him the Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year award. His sharp instincts, quick reactions, and strong coverage skills have made him one of the top defensive backs in the country.

Since the Florida Gators are having a less impressive recruiting class this year, Womack’s decision could be a big boost for their program. However, he still has several official visits planned.

He will visit Texas A&M on June 6, Auburn on June 13, and Ohio State on June 20. Experts expect him to commit by the end of summer.

But the question still remains—where will he land? The way he continues to be impressed by every major university, it seems unlikely that he will make a decision anytime soon. In fact, there’s even doubt that his next official visit might lead to another program stealing the spotlight again.
