The Arizona Wildcats secured a key commitment for their 2026 recruiting class with linebacker Dash Fifita. He is the younger brother of Wildcats quarterback Noah Fifita.

His decision not only strengthened the family’s connection to the program but also added to Arizona’s growing list of recruits.

    Arizona Wildcats Secure Dash Fifita

Dash Fifita announced his commitment to Arizona on Monday, Feb. 3, choosing the Wildcats over Sacramento State. He revealed his choice in a video featuring his brother Noah and former Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.

Arizona’s decision to take a chance on Noah years ago proved beneficial, and now Dash aims to follow in his footsteps.

Playing for Santa Margarita High School in Orange County, Dash Fifita was listed at 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, the same size as his brother. Sacramento State was the only other school to offer him a spot.

With his commitment, he became Arizona’s third pledge for the 2026 class, joining offensive lineman Michael Langi from San Francisco and in-state wide receiver Hamisi Juma.

Fifita’s Impact on High School Football

Although Dash Fifita had not yet received a ranking from major recruiting services, his performances in the Trinity League drew attention.

Last season, he earned recognition as the Orange County Register Boys Athlete of the Week after tallying 19 tackles and two forced fumbles in a game against Orange Lutheran.

Coached by former NFL quarterback Carson Palmer, Dash recorded 100 tackles, 11 tackles for loss, and 3.5 sacks in 2024, earning Co-Defensive Player of the Year honors in the Trinity League and an All-CIF first-team nod.

With 2025 National Signing Day approaching, adding Dash Fifita to the incoming class is another step in the right direction for the Wildcats as they look to improve on their 4-8 record and 13th-place Big 12 finish last season.
