    The start of the 2025 NFL draft is less than two months away. But how do the quarterback prospects rank as prospects? Let’s take a look at the top prospects and where they rank.

    1. Cam Ward

    Ranked as the number one quarterback prospect, Ward is an electrifying playmaker who played an essential role as Miami recorded its best mark since 2017 with a 10-3 record. Ward can throw from multiple arm slots and generate high velocity without stress, regardless of how he positions his body. His 93.3 QBR in the first quarter ranked third in the FBS.

    2. Shedeur Sanders

    Sanders is ranked number two among quarterback prospects. He had an impressive 4,134 passing yards, 47 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions last season. He faced pressure on 40.3% of his dropbacks but still reached a 74% completion percentage, ranking first. He also recorded a 6.5% off-target rate, the third-lowest mark in the FBS.

    3. Jaxson Dart

    Dart ranks number three among quarterback prospects m, and it’s easy to see why. After beginning his career at USC in 2021, Dart moved to Ole Miss and secured a starting role in Lane Kiffin’s up-tempo offense. Last season, he threw for 4,279 yards, 29 touchdowns, and six interceptions with a completion percentage of 69.3%.

    4. Tyler Shough

    Shough started at Oregon In 2018 before transferring to Texas Tech at the end of the 2020 season. He again transferred to Louisville before the start of 2024. Shough recorded a career-high 3,195 passing yards and six interceptions last season. He makes it into the quarterback rankings as number four.

    5. Jalen Milroe

    Coming in at number five is Milroe, who threw for 2,844 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 13 games last season. He also added an impressive 726 yards and 20 scores on the ground as he developed into one of the best dual-threat quarterbacks in the country.

    6. Quinn Ewers

    Number six in the quarterback prospect ranking is Ewers, whose best game of last season came against Michigan in Week 2. He ended with 246 passing yards and three touchdowns. Ewers also shone in the college football Playoff quarterfinal against Arizona in the Peach Bowl with a game-saving throw.

    7. Will Howard

    Howard comes in at number seven after he threw for 1,150 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and two interceptions as the Buckeyes raced to a four-game winning run to clinch the National Championship last season.

    8. Dillon Gabriel

    Left-handed passer Gabriel is number eight among quarterback prospects. Gabriel threw for 18,823 yards and recorded 155 touchdowns over six college seasons before transferring to Oregon. Last season, he led the Ducks to a 13-0 regular-season record and a Big Ten Championship.
