We’re still about two months out from the 2025 NFL Draft, but mock draft season is in full swing. With so many mocks coming out, I wanted to do a different kind of mock.
In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the only players that can be taken must have played in the SEC. Despite the limited player pool, I think teams would be more than happy with the available talent. Read on to find out how the a first round with only SEC talent would be different.

2025 NFL Mock Draft: SEC Edition
1) Will Campbell, OT, LSU
Tennessee Titans
Without a top QB on the board like Ward or Sanders, the Titans elect to sure up their offensive line by taking Will Campbell, the best tackle prospect in this class. They need help on the offensive line and Campbell fixes the position.
2) Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Cleveland Browns
Abdul Carter and Mike Green aren’t available in this scenario, but my third-ranked EDGE Mykel Williams is, and that’s who the Browns elect to pick here. He’s a risk, but freakishly athletic with high upside.
3) Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
New York Giants
Malaki Starks might be the best overall prospect from the SEC in this year’s draft class, and the Giants take him here with three. He’s solid both against the run and the pass.
4) Luther Burden, WR, Missouri
New England Patriots
The Patriots need to get Drake Maye a bonafide stud at the receiver position some point soon, so they take the best SEC wideout in this draft class in Luther Burden. His ability after the catch is elite.
5) Walter Nolan, DL, Ole Miss
Jacksonville Jaguars
With Mason Graham not available for the taking, the Jags go with Walter Nolan, who I have ranked as the second best interior defensive lineman this year. The production hasn’t always been there, but there’s a reason he’s a former five-star recruit.
6) Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Las Vegas Raiders
The Raiders need help in their secondary, and one of my favorite corner prospects in this entire draft class is available. Jahdae Barron finds a home in Las Vegas here. With the ability to play corner or safety, Barron is a Swiss Army Knife for a needy secondary.
7) Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
New York Jets
Nick Emmanwori reminds me of former number seven overall pick by the New York Jets Jamaal Adams. Emmawori should continue to rise up draft boards as the offseason continues, and the Jets get a freakishly athletic defender at seven.
8) Shemar Stewart, EDGE, Texas A&M
Carolina Panthers
The Panthers shipped off Brian Burns to the Giants last offseason, so in this 2025 NFL mock draft, they find his replacement in A&M’s Shemar Stewart. He has size and speed to improve an ailing pass rush.
9) James Pearce Jr., EDGE, Tennessee
New Orleans Saints
With Chase Young likely leaving the Saints in free agency, they need help at EDGE, so here they take James Pearce Jr. Despite being undersized, Pearce was one of the most productive edge rushers in the country over the last two years and lands in New Orleans in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
10) Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas
Chicago Bears
The Bears’ O-Line needs improvement, and the Bears picking Kelvin Banks Jr. is honestly something I could see happening on draft day. Banks has the size and length to play tackle but could slide inside early, if necessary.
11) Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
San Francisco 49ers
The 49ers need help on the interior of their offensive line, and I think Armand Membou projects best there. This is another pick that could happen on draft day, especially due to Membou’s versatility and ability to play inside or outside
12) Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
Dallas Cowboys
With no top-tier running backs coming out of the SEC in this draft, the Cowboys address their defense with Jalon Walker. Walker can play off the ball or up on the line as an undersized edge rusher.
13) Trey Amos, CB, Ole Miss
Miami Dolphins
Now we’re starting to get away from surefire Day 1 picks in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. The Dolphins having an aging secondary that needs some good young talent, and Ole Miss’s Trey Amos is the second best CB from the SEC in this draft class.
14) Princely Umanmielen, EDGE, Ole Miss
Indianapolis Colts
The more I watch Princely Umanmielen, the more I think he’s worthy of a first-round pick. While I wouldn’t put him this high in a real mock just yet, I think it’s an appropriate spot for this SEC mock. The fact that we have a fringe first-round talent going this low in a single-conference 2025 NFL Mock Draft is evidence of the depth of the SEC.
15) Jihaad Campbell, LB, Alabama
Atlanta Falcons
The Falcons need a star signal caller on the defensive side of the ball, and Alabama’s Jihaad Campbell is the best off-ball linebacker in this class. He could hear his name called on Day 1 of the actual 2025 NFL Draft.
16) Shemar Turner, DT, Texas A&M
Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals must address their defensive line in this year’s draft, and they do so even in this SEC mock by taking Shemar Turner from Texas A&M. Turner was disruptive last season on one of the nation’s best defensive lines.
17) Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
Cincinnati Bengals
Even though Tee Higgins is going to be franchised tagged, the Bengals get Joe Burrow yet another weapon in Texas’s Matthew Golden, alleviating some of the pressure from Ja’Marr Chase.

18) Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
Seattle Seahawks
This is actually something that I have mocked in a regular 2025 NFL Mock Draft in the past. I think in both my real mock drafts this year, and Booker falls to the Seahawks in this scenario as well.
19) Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers need an EDGE, and they get help at that position with A&M’s Nic Scourton, someone who could sneak into the first-round come draft day. He’s the third Aggies’ defensive lineman off the board here.
20) Demetrius Knight Jr., LB, South Carolina
Denver Broncos
The Broncos are another team that has been missing a stud signal caller on the defensive side of the ball for quite some time. I’m a big fan of Demetrius Knight, and I think he’s another guy that will continue to rise up draft boards as the offseason rolls on, especially if he performs to his potential at the NFL Combine.
21) Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss
Pittsburgh Steelers
Much like in 2022, the Steelers reach on a QB in the first round and take Jaxson Dart from Ole Miss. Some analysts have Dart as a first-rounder but I’m not there yet. Still, this is another pick that could make sense on Draft Day, whether in the first round or later.

22) Landon Jackson, EDGE, Arkansas
Los Angeles Chargers
The Chargers have two aging edge rushers in Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack, so in this SEC mock, they take Landon Jackson to replace them. He’s extremely tall and long and disruptive off the edge.
23) T.J. Sanders, DT, South Carolina
Green Bay Packers
T.J. Sanders is yet another Gamecock that I think is probably going to keep rising up draft boards as time goes on. He’s undersized, yet quick and has more power than the average interior defensive lineman. The Packers address their D-line needs by picking him here.
24) Dylan Sampson, RB, Tennessee
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings need some juice at the running back position, so they grab Tennessee’s Dylan Sampson to help out their run-game. He’s a one-cut runner who could woo several teams in the pre-draft process, especially in the Shanahan coaching tree.
25) Tre Harris, WR, Ole Miss
Houston Texans
Tre Harris is someone who I’m higher on than most. While I don’t think he goes in the first round in April, I actually like the fit of him to the Texans a lot. That being said, I have seen him sneak into Day 1 of a few 2025 NFL Mock Drafts.
26) Maxwell Hairston, CB, Kentucky
Los Angeles Rams
The Rams need to beef up their secondary, so here they take Maxwell Hairston from Kentucky. Hairston is long and rangy and has early-round traits as a cover corner.
27) Kyle Kennard, EDGE, South Carolina
Baltimore Ravens
Kyle Kennard broke out his final year at South Carolina and now is a projected second-round pick. The Ravens take him here to fill their need at EDGE. Last year’s Nagurski Trophy winner could be an early contributor for an NFL defense.
28) Cameron Williams, OT, Texas
Detroit Lions
Cameron Williams played tackle at Texas, but I actually think he’ll end up playing guard in the league. While the Lions are good across the offensive line, they do need help on the inside, so they take Williams here.

29) Jared Ivey, EDGE, Ole Miss
Washington Commanders
Ivey got overshadowed at Ole Miss sometimes because he was playing alongside Walter Nolan and Princely Umanmielen, but he was very productive last season. The Commanders fill their need at EDGE by picking a bigger, powerful edge rusher here.
30) Omarr Norman-Lott, DT, Tennessee
Buffalo Bills
Omarr Norman-Lott is actually a better pass rusher than run defender at defensive tackle, and the Bills need help anyway they can get it on the defensive side of the ball against the group of elite quarterbacks they’ll need to beat to reach the Super Bowl, so they take him here.
31) Alfred Collins, DT, Texas
Kansas City Chiefs
Alfred Collins is a massive guy at DT standing at 6’5″ and weighing 320 pounds. While he isn’t quite the player Chris Jones is, he could develop into a solid successor, with a little mentorship.
32) Isaiah Bond, WR, Texas
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are coming off a Super Bowl victory, and their entire team is basically made up of SEC players. They take a luxury pick by selecting speedster Isaiah Bond to round-out this SEC-only 2025 NFL Mock Draft.
