When Ben Johnson was with Detroit, the Lions selected Sam Laporta in the first round to become their franchise tight end.
While many thought the Cowboys’ picking Booker was a surprise, I think this pick makes perfect sense. The Cowboys lost Zack Martin to retirement this offseason and needed to replace him. Booker fits perfectly in Dallas’ scheme and should be a franchise cornerstone for years to come.
The 49ers had next to no pass rushers besides Nick Bosa before the NFL Draft, and picking up Mykel Williams filled that need nicely. Not only was Williams a big need for San Fran, but I think he fits perfectly in Robert Saleh’s defensive scheme.
There might not be a rookie who receives more targets in 2025 than Tyler Warren. The Indianapolis Colts needed to get Anthony Richardson a safety blanket underneath, and Warren is just that.
If I could hand-pick one NFL coach to pair with Jaxson Dart, it would be Brian Daboll. Daboll has had success in the past with big-arm quarterbacks who have good mobility (e.g., Daniel Jones and Josh Allen). This pairing is great, and I think Dart will find some major success in New York.
