    Which States Produced the Most NFL Draft Picks in 2025? Texas, Florida Lead the Way

    Every spring, the NFL Draft provides an insight into the cultivation of the nation’s finest football talent, and this year’s results were overwhelmingly positive. In 2025, 41 of the 50 states saw players from their borders selected to join the professional ranks, reaffirming the diversity of football’s reach. 

    Yet, not all states left a mark—Alaska, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming were among the few to remain absent from the draft boards.

    As the dust settles on draft day, the focus turns to the states that consistently dominate and make the most significant impact, round after round. However, the numbers weren’t surprising, even though the competition was tough this year. Texas and Florida once again lead the pack in producing NFL talent, but how do the other states stack up?

    Top States by 2025 NFL Draft Picks: Where the Most Talent Came From

    Texas again led the way, showing why it’s known as a football powerhouse. The Lone Star State produced 37 NFL draft picks in 2025. Among them were star quarterback Cam Ward, who went first overall, and dominant defensive lineman Kelvin Banks Jr., picked in the top five.

    Florida followed closely with 26 players drafted. Big names like offensive lineman Tyler Booker and defensive back Jihaad Campbell stood out as their top elite talents. Year after year, the Sunshine State keeps proving it’s a top producer of NFL talent.

    Georgia grabbed the third spot with 22 draft picks. Cornerback Travis Hunter and linebacker Barrett Carter led the way for the Peach State. Georgia’s reputation for developing elite athletes remains strong.

    Virginia and Louisiana rounded out the top five, each with 10 players drafted. Offensive tackle Will Campbell led Virginia’s group, while Louisiana showed off its football roots with stars like defensive back Shemar James.

    Beyond the leading states, other contributors to the 2025 NFL Draft include Michigan, South Carolina, and Alabama, each producing nine picks. Maryland and North Carolina followed with eight selections, while Ohio and New Jersey had seven.

    States like Washington, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Kansas, and Massachusetts added five players each.
