On Saturday night, the Marshall Thundering Herd and the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns will face off in the 2024 Sun Belt Championship Game. The title game will mark some players’ final appearance on the college football field, as some prepare to enter the NFL. Let’s take a look at the 2025 NFL Draft prospects who will be showcased in the Sun Belt title game.
Marshall 2025 NFL Draft Prospects
- Mike Green, EDGE (Round 2)
- Christian Fitzpatrick, WR (UDFA)
- Jabari Ishmael, EDGE (UDFA)
- Stephen Dix Jr., LB (UDFA)
- Deeve Harris, DT (UDFA)
- TyQaze Leggs, DT (UDFA)
Mike Green’s NFL Draft Projection
Mike Green is clearly the highest-rated prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft in the Sun Belt Championship Game and may be the only player from the conference with a draftable grade.
The Thundering Herd’s pass rusher leads all of college football with 21 tackles for loss and also tops the conference with 16 sacks. Additionally, the Virginia transfer has recorded 79 tackles, one pass breakup, three forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery.

Green’s outstanding performance has significantly boosted his draft stock, and he has been included in several 2025 NFL mock drafts. The productive pass rusher is firmly in discussions for the second round.
Still, a strong showing at the 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl could potentially elevate him into the conversation for the back end of the first round.
Christian Fitzpatrick’s NFL Draft Projection
Christian Fitzpatrick won’t trouble the 2025 NFL Draft in the early rounds, but his physical profile may warrant attention as a UDFA. In 2024, the Marshall WR has led the team with 569 yards and six touchdowns.
After previous stops at Louisville and Michigan State, it was the most productive year of his five years in college football. Getting drafted will be difficult for Fitzpatrick. However, his 6’4”, 217-pound frame and strong previous recruiting profile may help him pick up an NFL spot as a free agent.
Louisiana 2025 NFL Draft Prospects
- Tyree Skipper, DB (UDFA)
- K.C. Ossai, LB (UDFA)
- Lance Legendre, WR (UDFA)
Tyree Skipper’s NFL Draft Projection
Among the 2025 NFL draft-eligible players from Louisiana, Tyree Skipper stands out as having one of the best chances of being drafted. However, that chance remains slim. In nine games during the 2024 season, the safety prospect has recorded 41 tackles, two pass breakups, and four interceptions.
As a redshirt junior, he still has one year of eligibility remaining, which suggests that returning to school might be the best option for Skipper, especially after missing some time at the end of the year.
K.C. Ossai’s NFL Draft Projection
K.C. Ossai is a two-year starter for the Ragin’ Cajuns and has demonstrated remarkable versatility on the field. Over his four-year career, he recorded a total of 266 tackles. In 2024 alone, he has 103 tackles, three TFLs, 0.5 sacks, one interception, one forced fumble, and three pass breakups.
While it seems unlikely that the Conroe, Texas native will be drafted, he possesses an intriguing profile that may attract attention as a UDFA. Standing 6’2” and weighing 241 pounds, Ossai has a strong athletic profile, solid lateral mobility, and explosive speed. If he can enhance his ability to defend against the pass, he could make an impact on a practice squad.
