Mario Williams and Bryson Daily lead the 2025 NFL Draft prospects to watch in the AAC Championship Game. Who else should be on the radar?

The Tulane Green Wave will face the Army Black Knights in the 2024 AAC Championship Game at Michie Stadium. This marks the third consecutive year that Tulane has made it to the conference championship, while Army is vying for its first AAC title in its inaugural year in the league.

To secure the AAC title, both teams will need to depend on their key players. Which 2025 NFL Draft prospects could have the most significant impact on the game?

    Mario Williams’ NFL Draft Projection

Now on his third team, Mario Williams has gained significant experience in college football. He began his career with the Oklahoma Sooners, then transferred to the USC Trojans in 2022, and is now at Tulane for the 2024 season.

In New Orleans, Williams is enjoying his best statistical season yet. The Green Wave wide receiver has accumulated 831 receiving yards and four touchdowns during the regular season, leading the team in receiving yards by a substantial margin.

Throughout his career, Williams has proven to be reliable. His sharp change of direction, slippery route running, and well-rounded route tree make him a viable NFL Draft prospect. However, at 5’9” and 178 pounds, his size may work against him.

His lack of prototypical dimensions means he will need to be a specific scheme fit for an NFL team to consider drafting him as a late-round prospect.

    Patrick Jenkins’ NFL Draft Projection

Patrick Jenkins has been a formidable presence on the Tulane defensive line. A consistent disruptor, the 6’2″, 293-pound defensive tackle has produced impressive film and a strong statistical record.

As a TCU transfer, Jenkins leads the team with 4.5 sacks and has recorded 23 tackles, seven tackles for loss, and two pass deflections. With his 5.5 sacks, 12 tackles for loss, and 35 tackles in 2023, his résumé is extensive and impressive.

Jenkins’ natural quickness, ability to disrupt the passer, and blocking power make him one of the top NFL Draft-eligible players in the AAC. However, he still has the option to return to school, which may be the better choice for his continued development.

    Bryson Daily’s NFL Draft Projection

Bryson Daily has been a dynamic quarterback for the Black Knights. In 2024, the service academy standout effectively operated the triple option, completing 43 of his 76 passing attempts for 860 yards, eight touchdowns, and one interception. However, Daily truly excels as a runner. He leads the team in rushing with 1,348 yards and an impressive 25 touchdowns.

While Daily is unlikely to be selected in the 2025 NFL Draft, his skill set may attract teams who could pursue him as a free agent for their practice squad.

That is because Daily’s potential use in the NFL could be compared to how the New Orleans Saints utilize Taysom Hill. He will be labeled as a “Swiss Army knife.” However, Daily does not possess the same level of athleticism and physicality that Hill demonstrates. What he does have, in abundance, is heart, grit, and determination that NFL teams will fall in love with.
