According to the CFN Strength of Schedule, the Troy 2024 football schedule is one of the easiest in the Sun Belt. Ranking 11th in the conference, only three teams have a more comfortable calendar this fall. Furthermore, it is one of the most manageable in the country, ranking 114 out of the 134 FBS programs that will take part in the upcoming campaign.
However, the out-of-conference slate of the 2024 Troy football schedule doesn’t allow Parker to ease himself into the role. Opening against the Nevada Wolf Pack should be simple enough, but matchups against AAC frontrunner Memphis and Big Ten contender Iowa will prove difficult. The Florida A&M Rattlers are one of the best HBCU outfits and won’t be easily beaten.
The ease of the Sun Belt element of the 2024 Troy football schedule comes from who they won’t face as much as the games they will play. Avoiding potential conference contenders, the Appalachian State Mountaineers and James Madison Dukes, is a huge boon for the program. Hosting the Texas State Bobcats and Coastal Carolina Chanticleers is also hugely helpful.

There are, of course, challenges on the Troy 2024 football schedule. Although the Trojans have been historically successful in Mobile, Jonesboro, and Lafayette, road games against the South Alabama Jaguars, Arkansas State Red Wolves, and Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns can be tough. They also lost the last time they played the Georgia Southern Eagles in Statesboro.
