Official visit season is here, and it’s been a chaotic June for some of the top players in the 2026 class who are finding their future college football homes.
Schools have been battling it out for the top talent in the country as players travel to see what each program has to offer. Getting a player on campus can be crucial to winning their recruitment, but sometimes players will cancel official visits before they even happen. Unfortunately for TCU, that’s exactly what one of the top receivers in the nation just did to the Horned Frogs.
Top Receiver Recruit Zion Robinson Cancels Official Visit to TCU
The TCU Horned Frogs were in the thick of the recruitment battle for 2026 wide receiver Zion Robinson, who 247Sports ranks as the 18th-best WR and 135th-best player nationally.
Robinson was scheduled to visit the Horned Frogs this coming weekend but announced on X that he will no longer be making the trip to Fort Worth.
I will no longer be taking an OV to Tcu

This is a massive blow for head coach Sonny Dykes, as TCU currently sits with the eighth-best recruiting class in the Big 12. Landing Robinson would’ve added a big boost to their 2026 class and put them in contention for one of the best recruiting classes in the conference.
While this is a tough blow for TCU, it may be a big-time victory for another college football program that has been aggressively pursuing the Texas native.
The Michigan Wolverines hosted Robinson on an official visit over the May 30 weekend. The Wolverines have quickly been gaining momentum in the young wideout’s recruitment. While 247Sports has not given a crystal ball prediction for Robinson, On3 gives the Wolverines a 22.8% chance to land him, the highest out of any school.
Robinson’s recruitment is far from over. Although he canceled his official visit to TCU, he still will travel to Miami on June 14 and then to Stanford on June 22. It’s a highly contested battle for one of the best receivers in this recruiting class. It should be fun to see all of this play out, as Robinson should be making his decision by the end of June.
Whoever lands Robinson will be getting an ultra-talented receiver. Unfortunately for the Horned Frogs, they’ll have to turn their attention elsewhere to find a pass catcher in the class of 2026.

TCU has brought in some solid talent this cycle so far, but still has yet to get a commitment from a receiver. It makes the loss of Robinson even worse for the Horned Frogs.
