Wyatt Milum NFL Draft Projections: 5 Landing Spots for the West Virginia Guard

West Virginia guard Wyatt Milum had a terrific season with the Mountaineers, solidifying himself as a draft pick and potentially high enough to be picked on Day 2.

He doesn’t lack effort, as Milum is a relentless mover who also has the requisite foot speed to keep up in the pass game. He played offensive tackle for West Virginia, but after measuring in with 32 1/8″ arms, he’s slated to be moved inside to the guard position at the next level.

Five Potential Landing Spots for Wyatt Milum

There’s always a spot for physical, hardworking offensive linemen in the NFL, making Milum a prospect to watch for organizations with needs on the interior O-line.

Here are five teams who are most likely to take the shot on the former Mountaineer.

    Cincinnati Bengals

With career backup Cody Ford set to step into the starting lineup in 2025, the addition of Milum would push both players to be at the top of their game. Ford’s contract short — just two years — meaning it’s very possible they try to draft his replacement while he’s still on the roster.

Cincinnati deploys a sixth offensive lineman at a higher rate than other teams in the league, a role that Ford played last season. Milum could slot in while developing into a potential starter long-term.

    Baltimore Ravens

After losing starting guard Patrick Mekari to the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency, the guard position is a bit uncertain for the Ravens. They have two guys — Andrew Vorhees and Daniel Faalele slotted to step in, but neither performed particularly well in 2024, albeit in limited snaps for the former.

Adding Milum would take some of the immediate pressure off Baltimore if one were to get hurt, as they also need to add depth pieces. With time, the former West Virginia O-lineman could develop into a starter for the Ravens and be a long-time protector of MVP QB Lamar Jackson.

    Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles lost starting G Mekhi Becton in free agency and replaced him with former Houston Texan Kenyon Green — though he struggled mightily in a starting role last season.

O-line coach Jeff Stoutland is known for getting the most out of his players and adding a cheap addition to the room would be a worthy investment for GM Howie Roseman, who shows a continued commitment to the trenches.

    New England Patriots

After adding their left tackle for the future in LSU’s Will Campbell with the fourth-overall pick, the Patriots could dip back into the O-line market and take Milum. It’s no secret that one of the biggest priorities for New England this offseason was surrounding QB Drake Make with playmakers and protectors.

Milum fits in the latter box as a physical guard who would fit well in the Patriots culture led by head coach Mike Vrabel.

    Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs have long needed stability along their O-line and continue trying their luck in the draft. It hasn’t worked out great for them, as the world saw during the Super Bowl, when MVP QB Patrick Mahomes was under complete siege all night.

Somewhat curiously, Kansas City traded arguably their top blocker, G Joe Thuney, to the Bears, leaving a void at that position that is currently filled by a backup. Milum could come in and immediately compete for that spot, with an eye on developing into a long-term solution on the interior.
