    Her latest social media update from an exotic vacation destination sparked reactions from her friends. It reminds fans that the bond between the former Gamecocks players remains intact.

    On Monday, Feb. 24, Cardoso shared photos from her visit to the Panwaburi Beachfront Resort. She captured a serene yet eye-catching moment as she paddled a clear-bottomed kayak in the resort’s pool.

    The Chicago Sky star kept her caption simple, writing “🧡✨” while letting the images do the talking.

    Within moments, her Instagram post was flooded with reactions, including heart-eye emojis from Raven Johnson and Bree Hall. Both athletes showed their appreciation for their former teammate’s stunning vacation snapshot.

    Although Cardoso now plays professionally, her legacy at South Carolina remains significant. The Brazilian center originally played her freshman season at Syracuse before transferring to South Carolina, where she spent three years under head coach Dawn Staley. Her contributions helped lead the Gamecocks to two national championships in 2022 and 2024.

    She cemented her status as one of the most dominant post players in the program’s history. Following her collegiate success, she was selected as the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky, where she continues to develop her game at the highest level.

    Cardoso joined forces with fellow rookie Angel Reese, the No. 7 overall pick, to form a physically imposing frontcourt for the Chicago Sky. The two players, known for their rebounding dominance, quickly became one of the most intimidating post-duos in the league.

    Despite an initial setback due to a shoulder injury suffered during South Carolina’s championship run, Cardoso made an impactful return. She completed her first WNBA season, averaging 9.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game.

    During the WNBA offseason, Cardoso has been playing internationally for the Shanghai Swordfish, continuing to refine her game and gain more professional experience. However, she has also taken time to unwind, recently traveling to Phuket, Thailand, for a well-deserved vacation.

    The redshirt junior has been a key contributor for the Gamecocks this season, averaging 5.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. One of Johnson’s most impressive performances came in January during South Carolina’s crucial win over conference rival LSU.

    She played 28 minutes, recording five points, three rebounds, three assists, and five steals. With the Gamecocks holding a 13-1 conference record (25-3 overall), they remain at the top of the SEC standings with just two games left against Ole Miss and Kentucky before entering postseason play.
