LSU guard Flau’jae Johnson is proving her versatility in more ways than one. On Valentine’s Day, she released her first full R&B album, “Flau & B.”

Known for her skills on the basketball court, Johnson has also built a solid music career, boasting two albums, nine singles, and one EP. She has collaborated with major artists like NLE Choppa and Lil’ Wayne, cementing her status as a dual-threat talent. While her musical career continues to rise, Flau’jae Johnson’s consistency on the basketball court also draws attention. Boot Krewe Media, an account focused on Louisiana culture, shared a post on X with a picture of Johnson.

“Flau’Jae Johnson is as CONSISTENT as they get 💪,” the post read.

On Sunday, LSU faced a top-five Texas team in a defensive battle at a sold-out Moody Center in Austin. The Tigers fought hard but fell short, losing 65-58 in a tightly contested game. Despite the loss, Johnson extended her streak of scoring in double figures to 36 consecutive games.

Johnson entered the highly anticipated matchup against Texas as a game-time decision. LSU had initially listed her as questionable on Saturday before downgrading her hours before tip-off. She participated in warm-ups while wearing a sleeve on her lower right leg, leaving fans and analysts unsure about her availability.

However, once the game began, it became evident that head coach Kim Mulkey had other plans. Instead of relying heavily on Johnson, Mulkey shifted the focus to Aneesah Morrow and Sa’Myah Smith.

The duo stepped up in a tough battle against Texas’ dominant frontcourt, showcasing their resilience and determination even when other star players weren’t performing at 100%.

When asked about Johnson’s condition, Mulkey kept her response short.

    “She is fine.”

Despite her injuries, Johnson played most of the game and notched 16 points, continuing her season-long streak of at least 10 points in every game this season.

While she was short when asked about the star, Mulkey was full of praise for her post players, emphasizing the impact of Morrow and Smith’s efforts in the game. Their performance highlighted the depth of LSU’s roster, proving that the team has multiple weapons capable of stepping up when needed.

LSU will look to bounce back quickly as it prepares to face Georgia on Thursday at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge, La. Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET, and the game will be broadcast on the SEC Network.
