Hailey Van Lith, Sedona Prince Punch TCU’s NCAA Tournament Ticket

In a game where TCU led by as many as 13 and never trailed by more than two, the Horned Frogs were led by seniors Van Lith and Prince—who played every minute, notching a double-double—en route to officially stamping their NCAA Tournament berth and defeating Baylor for the third time this season.

Senior guard Madison Conner and sophomore guard Donovyn Hunter added 11 points a piece.

It was no easy road for Big 12 regular season champion TCU as they looked to grab both titles—each for the first time in program history—with games against Colorado and No. 16 West Virginia, both of which came down to the wire.

In the title game, though, Van Lith didn’t let up. She assisted Prince in retaking the lead and added a layup of her own to make it four with just 48 ticks left on the clock. Baylor scored, cutting the lead to two with 0:11 to go, but she had to foul immediately, allowing the Horned Frogs to sink three free throws to close out the game.

“Listen, they were doubling me off every ball screen. They were face-guarding me when I was off the ball,” Van Lith said after the game. “They didn’t want me to have the ball. That’s ok. I made passes, and the time came to get shots off in the second half, and I took them.”

Senior center Aaronette Vonleh led the charge for the Bears with 20 points. Senior guards Sarah Andrews and Yaya Felder scored 13 and 12, respectively.

The TCU duo was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team, while Van Lith earned the Big 12 Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player Award.
