LSU Tigers star point guard Flau’Jae Johnson is putting her NIL money to good use as she has decided to make a very generous decision ahead of LSU’s Thursday night battle with Georgia.

Flau’Jae Johnson Helping Play4Kay
According to the LSU Women’s Basketball social media page, Johnson decided on Wednesday to pay $1 for every LSU student in attendance at LSU’s Play4Kay game for the third year in a row.
The Play4Kay game is called that in honor of legendary North Carolina State coach Kay Yow, who passed away in 2009 after a battle with breast cancer.
Throughout the season, Flau’Jae Johnson has worn a Kay Yow Servant Leader patch on her jersey!

Johnson is not only a great player but also very genuine and cares about important causes off the court.
Her decision to donate $1 for every student in attendance comes after assistant LSU coach Bob Starkey made the same pledge.
This is a great way to spend NIL money, and perhaps it could be something that all college athletes make note of as they continue to earn money.
LSU’s Current Season Outlook
As it stands right now, LSU is ranked seventh in the country as they hold an impressive overall record of 25-2.
Although they are sitting in third place in the SEC with a conference record of 10-2, they have a great chance to win another national title. That is thanks in large part to legendary head coach Kim Mulkey and Johnson’s play.
Mulkey has a career coaching record of 748-119 (86.3%) and has won four national titles, the latest of which came in 2023, with Johnson handling the basketball at the point.

An All-SEC performer, Johnson has a bright future waiting for her in the WNBA if she keeps up her impressive play.
She is currently averaging 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game. The Georgia native has improved her free-throw shooting each season that she has been at LSU and has become one of the more clutch players in the game.
With Georgia sitting at a rough record of just 10-16 overall, look for Mulkey, Johnson, and Co. to perform strongly at home in the Play4Kay matchup on Thursday night.
