Flau’jae Johnson and the No. 6-ranked LSU Tigers played the Missouri Tigers on Thursday, Feb. 6, running to a 71-60 victory. The Tigers have been one of the most dominant teams in women’s college basketball this season, accumulating a 24-1 record.
Their lone loss came against No. 2-ranked South Carolina on Jan. 24, 66-56. Missouri has not had as much success as their feline counterparts, accumulating a 12-13 record. They entered the game with a two-game losing streak, having most recently lost 76-71 to No. 19-ranked Tennessee on Feb. 2.

Flau’jae Johnson’s Boyfriend Leaves a Heartwarming Message for Her Ahead of LSU’s Game Against Missouri
LSU iswason the road to play Missouri on Thursday. As a result, Flau’jae Johnson’s boyfriend, Chris Hilton Jr., was not able to attend. Hilton Jr. is also an athlete at LSU, playing wide receiver for the football team. Still wanting to support his girlfriend, Hilton Jr. left a heartwarming message for her on Instagram.
He posted a video of her taking shots with the message:
“NMW.”
The message also had a heart and infinity symbol. The message presumably means that he will love here, forever, and no matter what. It was a heartwarming message to see shared between athletes who do not often express their feelings on social media.
Hilton Jr. is a junior at LSU and recently finished his season with the Tigers. He is a wide receiver for the team but only appeared in four games in 2024. He registered nine receptions for 243 yards and three TDs in those appearances.
Johnson is a more active member of her team. She leads the team in points this season with 20.0 while also contributing as an active rebounder and playmaker. She is in her junior season and has steadily improved throughout her career.
While Johnson is most well-known as a basketball player, she is also a rapper. She is signed with Roc Nation and is pursuing a music career. She was inspired to pursue music by her father, who sadly passed away. Johnson has appeared on “The Rap Game” and “America’s Got Talent.”

While she is talented in to aspects in life, it will be interesting to see if she puts her full focus into one of those things in a few years.
If she decides to enter the WNBA after her senior season, it might mean that she will no longer be able to put as much of her time into her music.
