    Who Is Caitlin Clark?

On Thursday’s episode of Jeopardy!, Clark was the answer to a clue in the “Women in Sports” category for $400. The clue read:

“The Indiana Fever’s No. 1 draft pick in 2024, she’s had a great ‘effect’ on women’s basketball.”

Contestant Roger wasted no time in buzzing in and confidently responding with the correct answer:

    “Who is Caitlin Clark?”

This wasn’t the first time Clark had been a part of Jeopardy! history. Back in April 2024, during the show’s invitational tournament, she was also featured as a $400 clue in the sports category. That time, the question referenced her record-breaking feat:

“In 2024, this Iowa athlete sunk one of her trademark logo 3-pointers & set the all-time NCAA women’s scoring record.”

Amy Schneider, one of the most successful Jeopardy! champions of all time had the correct answer on that occasion. Interestingly, that episode aired on April 5—the same day Clark helped lead the Iowa Hawkeyes to a thrilling 71-69 victory over UConn in the Final Four.

Clark’s Legacy Extends Beyond the Court

Clark’s influence on basketball is undeniable. She dominated college hoops at Iowa, setting scoring records and elevating the popularity of women’s basketball to new heights. Her deep 3-pointers became legendary, her competitive fire unmatched, and her ability to lead her team unforgettable.

It’s no surprise that she continues to be a pop culture fixture. Especially with her name showing up in trivia questions on one of the most iconic game shows in television history. As the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, Clark has now taken her talents to the Indiana Fever.
