Who Are the College Football National Championship Announcers?

The College Football National Championship announcers are set across 12 programs as ESPN's MegaCast sees Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit hosting.

The 2023 College Football National Championship announcers have been assigned, and the planned MegaCast from ESPN should give plenty of options for viewers across the world. When Georgia takes on TCU for the national championship, here are the announcers planned to call the action.

2023 College Football National Championship Announcers

The 2023 College Football National Championship announcers are broken out in a few places. With an expected MegaCast for the game, ESPN will feature the Georgia vs. TCU game on 12 different programs, including two different mediums and two different languages.

According to ESPN, over 100 cameras and 100 microphones will be active for the action. The broadcast will also be available in over 160 different countries.

The main broadcast, scheduled for the main ESPN network, will be hosted by Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit in the booth, with Holly Rowe and Molly McGrath on the sidelines.

Chris Fowler

The voice of the sport and one of the most recognizable announcers in the profession, Fowler returns to call his ninth college football national championship. He and Herbstreit paired together for ESPN’s prime-time broadcast on each Saturday of the regular season this past year.

Kirk Herbstreit

Calling his ninth national championship as well, the pairing of Herbstreit and Fowler will close their 27th CFB season as a commentating team together with the 2023 National Championship. A former quarterback at Ohio State, Herbstreit has left an everlasting mark on the sport with his insightful and knowledgeable commentating with Fowler at his side for nearly three decades now.

Holly Rowe

Returning to the national championship sidelines for the second season in a row, Rowe called the first six College Football Playoff National Championships on the sidelines for ESPN radio.

This will mark her second consecutive sideline television broadcast of a CFP National Championship, as the veteran of the sport is a mainstay on some of ESPN’s top broadcasts. Rowe will be the sideline reporter for the Georgia Bulldogs.

Molly McGrath

McGrath returns for her second consecutive College Football Playoff National Championship. Pairing with Rowe last season for the championship game, McGrath has quickly made her mark as a national staple of some of the biggest and best moments from the sport over the past few seasons. McGrath will be the sideline reporter for the TCU Horned Frogs.
