A Saturday institution since 1987, ESPN’s “College GameDay” has become a tradition ingrained within college football, a roving college football circus “Comin’ to your City” for three hours every game day morning, and it’s back for the 2024 college campaign.

The long-running Saturday morning football staple has visited Dublin, College Station, Ann Arbor, Columbia, Norman, Tuscaloosa, and Berkeley this season, but what is the location for College Gameday in Week 7?

For the second successive week, ESPN will take its flagship show to the West Coast after announcing that Eugene, Oregon, will be the College GameDay location for Week 7. The TV network couldn’t really go wrong wherever they took the show on October 12, given the amount of elite-tier matchups they are during this weekend’s college football slate. It is the first time since 2022 that College GameDay has been to the home of the Oregon Ducks.

After traveling to Berkeley last weekend, it will be another early morning start for Rece Davis, Kirk Herbstreit and the rest of the College GameDay crew. Maintaining the usual start time of 9 a.m. ET, fans in attendance in Eugene will need to pack the show set for a 6 a.m. PT start. With one of the biggest games on the 2024 college football schedule set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET, it will be a long day for delirious Ducks fans.

Ohio State vs. Oregon in an all-Big Ten clash is one of the greatest by-products of college football realignment. With dramatic consequences for the Big Ten conference and College Football Playoff, this is without doubt one of the most important games of the season, never mind this weekend. As such, Eugene is a logical choice for the College GameDay location. Other options included Penn State vs. USC and the Red River Rivalry.

Week 7 marks the 12th time Oregon has been used as the College GameDay location. Meanwhile, the Ducks have appeared as the featured game 30 teams before, putting together an impressive 18-12 record. Ohio State is once again the most-featured program on the ESPN flagship, with Week 7 marking their 60th appearance. The Buckeyes have compiled a 40-19 record.
