What Happened to Trevor Etienne? Positive Updates Come Following the Game

Trevor Etienne was seen walking into the locker room with his Georgia team down to Florida. The latest information and updates are quite positive following the game.

While the Georgia Bulldogs were trailing the Florida Gators in Week 10, many fans were wondering where star RB and former Gator transfer Trevor Etienne went. The Bulldogs pulled out the victory, but it was without Etienne, who left the game in the first half.

Post-game updates seem promising, however, for Etienne’s prognosis.

    Trevor Etienne Injury Update

Following the halftime break, the news was that Etienne had suffered an apparent rib injury. It was reported that Etienne would attempt to play through the injury in the second half.

However, Etienne did not return to the action and the Bulldogs rode a stable of running backs to victory against Florida. Despite the success in the second half on the ground, fans certainly wondered and had their doubts around what happened to Etienne.

He sat out a drive just before the halftime break, before exiting to the locker room, and the bulk of the offensive load had been carried by Mark Frazier in the second quarter onward.

Following the game, head coach Kirby Smart confirmed it was a rib injury for Etienne and stated that it didn’t seem too serious moving forward.

The Bulldogs running back famously transferred in from Florida to be with Georgia this season, having rushed for double-digit touchdowns during his time with the Gators.

Etienne exited the game with seven carries for 31 yards. This season, Etienne has rushed for 453 yards on 89 carries with seven touchdowns.

His status for the rest of the season and a potential SEC Championship Game appearance will be one to monitor as the season progresses.
