Tre Harris Injury Update: Ole Miss Likely to Play Without Star WR vs. Georgia

Tre Harris is doubtful, though his injury designation has changed a handful of times in the days leading up to Ole Miss' Week 11 game against Georgia.

The Ole Miss Rebels are fighting for their postseason lives at this point of the season and the health of their roster is critical. With the game against the Georgia Bulldogs all but a playoff eliminator, will the Rebels be at full strength with the services of star WR Tre Harris?

Is Tre Harris Playing vs. Georgia?

As it stands right now, Harris is doubtful to play against Georgia, a week after he dressed but did not play a snap in the blowout victory over Arkansas. Harris is joined by TE Caden Prieskorn on the injury report, though Ole Miss’ tight end was listed as probable.

Harris still leads the country with his 141 yards per game total, but has missed the past two games for Ole Miss.

So far this season, Harris has hauled in 987 yards on 59 catches, both surpassing his totals from a season ago.

The rapport that Harris has with QB Jaxson Dart is beyond reproach. They’ve certainly been known to make each other better, yet Dart had a career day a week ago without Harris in the lineup. But, of course, Georgia is a much different animal than Arkansas in 2024.

    What Happened to Tre Harris?

Harris’ injury has been listed as a lower-body injury since he went out a handful of weeks ago. It was reported that he had been dealing with a nagging injury entering the LSU game in Week 7.

He finished the overtime thriller against LSU in street clothes on the sidelines during overtime after missing the final plays of the final drive in regulation.

Harris’ status has been elevated a handful of times since the injury, but ESPN’s Pete Thamel indicated on College GameDay on Saturday of Week 11 that Harris would not be expected to be a significant contributor to the Ole Miss offense against Georgia.
