    Latest Jeremiyah Love Injury Update

On the first play of Notre Dame’s third offensive drive of the second half, QB Riley Leonard carried the ball himself for a six-yard gain. However, Love was caught in the middle of the pile and had to limp off the field.

Love was sandwiched between multiple defenders as he attempted to block for Leonard. Backup Jadairan Price replaced him on the field as Love entered the injury tent.

After an evaluation, Love was seen with a brace on his right knee and riding a bike on the sideline.

Love exited the contest with six carries for 19 yards and one catch for two yards. He previously suffered a knee injury against the USC Trojans in the last regular-season game of the year and reportedly battled through it against the Indiana Hoosiers.

According to a sideline report from ESPN’s Molly McGrath, Love “tried cutting side to side. He was in visible discomfort. So they put a hard brace on that right knee. You can tell he’s still bothered by the injury, but he’s doing everything he can to return. I’m told he will try to go, and he told us he does not need to be 100 percent to be effective.”

With under eight minutes left in the game and Notre Dame leading 23-10, it’s unlikely Love will return to the field unless Georgia tightens the gap.
