    Walter Camp Award Watch List: Dillon Gabriel, Travis Hunter Headline the Best in the Nation

    With less than a month until the start of the new college campaign, watch list season is upon us as the Walter Camp Award watch list is unveiled.

    With the 2024 college football campaign on our doorstep, another season is already upon us. It’s one that sets the table for the feast we’re about to consume, preparing us for the top players we will witness in action these coming fall Saturdays. That’s right, it’s award watch list season, and on Monday this week, the Walter Camp Award watch list was released.

    Which Players Are on the 2024 Walter Camp Watch List?

    The Walter Camp Award has been honoring the College Football Player of the Year since 1967. Named after the “Father of American Football”, the award is given out annually by the Walter Camp Football Foundation. Recent winners include Jayden Daniels, Caleb Williams, and Kenneth Walker III, but which players headline the student-athletes earmarked for success this fall?

    The 2024 Walter Camp Award watch list includes 50 of the nation’s best players. It’s an offense-heavy list, with 41 players from that side of the ball, including 20 quarterbacks. 39 of the 134 FBS programs are represented, with Ohio State and Notre Dame leading the way with three nominations.
