The UConn Huskies will enter the 2025 football season riding the high of a nine-win 2024 campaign. It was their strongest performance since 2007 and resulted in a Wasabi Fenway Bowl victory over North Carolina. The Huskies’ 2025 schedule gives us some hints on what to expect from the upcoming season.
It features a 12-game slate with six home games at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in East Hartford, topped with regional rivalries, Power Four challenges, and tight Group of Five matchups.

Central Connecticut on Aug. 30 kicks off the season at home for the Huskies. UConn is 4-0 against the FCS Blue Devils, but CCSU’s 5-1 Northeast Conference record and 2024 playoff run may make them quite problematic for UConn. Syracuse on Sept. 6 will be the team’s early ACC road test. Delaware, on Sept. 13, will be the revival of last year’s rivalry.
After the midseason from September to October, UConn will face its most formidable challenges this season. On Oct. 18, Boston and on Oct. 25, Rice will push the Huskies to their limits. After the October challenge, November’s matches will decide UConn’s fate this season, with Florida Atlantic wrapping it up on Nov. 22.

With winnable games against CCSU, Ball State, FIU, UAB, and FAU, UConn could secure bowl eligibility early. The ACC trio, Syracuse, Boston College, and Duke, are winnable, but it won’t be easy at all. With eight within reach, a strong finish could solidify UConn’s rise as an FBS contender.
