As far back as last September, Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart said Tre Harris was the best receiver in the country.

Jaxson Dart Declares Tre Harris the Best WR in the Draft
In a media scrum, Dart said something similar at the NFL Combine this week in Indianapolis.
He called Harris the best receiver in the draft because “He’s a security blanket, any coverage he can beat anything at the same time. I don’t think many people talk about his yards after catching — his playmaking mobility. He’s the lead at what he does, process-wise. As the person that he is, he’s going to change an organization.”

The two Ole Miss teammates had quite the game together against Georgia Southern as a 39-point win saw Harris catch 11 passes for 225 yards and two touchdowns. One play was a 70-yard strike thrown by Dart.
When Harris moved from Louisiana Tech to the Rebels in 2023, he and Dart had quite the first game together, with four touchdowns and 133 yards on six receptions.
NFL Draft Buzz Calls Harris a Dominant Boundary Receiver
NFL Draft Buzz said Harris had terrorized SEC cornerbacks while racking six 100+ yard games in 2024.
In his sophomore season, he had 562 yards for Louisiana Tech but blossomed to over 1,000 yards in his first Rebels season and then continued to average 18 yards per catch.
He torched The Penn State Nittany Lions for 134 yards in the Peach Bowl on Dec. 30th, 2023. The Rebels won that one 38-25. NFL Draft Buzz said he “Brings a dog mentality to the blocking game, showing consistent effort and physicality even when he’s not the primary target.”

Top-tier players like Ohio State’s Emeka Egbuka rank ahead of Harris and are seen as top first-round picks. His acceleration and speed are challenged, as they are viewed as average. He ran a 40-yard dash in 4.5.
Scouts also temper Dart’s analysis because of his obvious bias. The two are teammates who have forged a close relationship on and off the field.
