That Stadium Was Rocking!
Hunter also remembered his game against Nebraska. Responding to the question about his most challenging game, he said, “I ain’t gonna lie, my answer is definitely Nebraska away. That stadium was rocking. That was the hardest game because of the stadium. That stadium was crazy.”
He added, “That was, like, overall, the toughest stadium to play in. We tried to talk, and we couldn’t hear anything. They made that difficult, and it had to be the toughest cause they’re out there playing and like, yeah.”
A Glimpse Of The Star Man
Hunter’s standout game against TCU was just a glimpse of his remarkable abilities. During his Heisman-winning 2024 season, he played a record-breaking 1,443 snaps, dominating offense and defense.
He hauled 92 passes for 1,152 yards and 14 touchdowns as a receiver. He was nearly unbeatable on defense, snagging four interceptions and deflecting 15 passes. Hunter’s versatility and workload redefined the possibilities for college football players.
A Legacy From That Day
The 45–42 upset win over the TCU Horned Frogs was not just Hunter’s most intense game but a turning point for him and his team.
