Former Arizona TE Tanner McLachlan Hypes Up Tetairoa McMillan Ahead of 2024 College Campaign

Those who don't know the name Tetairoa McMillan yet will learn soon enough, and his former teammate explained why at the NFL Combine.

If you don’t know the name Tetairoa McMillan already, then you better hop on the bandwagon quick. It’s pretty full already and is heading full speed ahead into the 2024 season. While he’s not eligible for the upcoming draft, he will be a name to know for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Former teammate Tanner McLachlan spoke with Pro Football Network’s Ian Cummings about his own future in the league, but also talked about what McMillan can do at the next level.

Tetairoa McMillan Set For Huge Season

McLachlan, when asked about his former teammate, didn’t hesitate to build the hype for McMillan, saying “he’s for sure going to be a first to second rounder in my opinion. He’s a beast.”

If you’ve watched McMillan play, you can agree with McLachlan’s initial assessment of the Wildcats wide receiver.

McMillan, a College Football Network First Team All-Pac 12 selection, already stands 6’4″, so he’s already a big target for his quarterback to find downfield.

However, he makes it even easier thanks to his large catch radius. McMillan makes acrobatic catches on a regular basis, but that’s not a surprise to his teammates. “That’s just regular because he makes them all the time in practice,” said McLachlan.

His length plays a huge role in his success, and it’s a big reason why he’s already recorded 129 catches for 2,104 yards and 18 touchdowns in his two seasons with the Wildcats. With quarterback Noah Fifita returning in 2024, Arizona has high hopes heading into their first season in the Big 12.

McMillan already has a highlight reel that makes fans go crazy, and it’s gotten the attention of teams at the next level.
