For South Carolina HC Shane Beamer, the numbers on the scoreboard aren’t the only numbers that matter. He also prioritizes their academic success, and when his players exceed expectations in the classroom, he never hesitates to celebrate it. This weekend, we saw exactly that from him.
This spring, South Carolina recorded a program-best 3.303 GPA, marking another academic milestone under Shane Beamer’s leadership. In response, the Gamecocks’ head coach proudly took to X to celebrate the achievement.

Since taking over in 2021, Beamer has led six of the top 10 highest team GPAs in school history, showing his strong commitment to developing student-athletes beyond the football field. The team earned a 3.02 GPA in Spring 2021 and a 2.985 in Fall 2019, making this latest achievement a significant improvement.
By the way, this recent success also marks back-to-back semesters of record-setting academic performance under Beamer. So, it’s no surprise that the head coach showed that level of energy in his tweet.
Since Beamer is doing his job, fans couldn’t stay quiet either. They came forward to celebrate the moment and praise Beamer for his achievement.
