Former Georgia Bulldogs linebacker David Pollack believes that the Texas Longhorns are quickly becoming one of the best and most dominant teams in the SEC and college football.
While discussing the SEC on his Instagram, Pollack outlined how he believed the Longhorns were becoming a powerhouse in college football, similar to the Bulldogs and the Alabama Crimson Tide.

What Did David Pollack Say About the Texas Longhorns?
Pollack played his college football for the Bulldogs between 2001 and 2004. He won the Chuck Bednarik Award during the 2004 campaign as the best defensive player in the nation that year. As a result of this great college football career, Pollack was drafted in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, going No. 17 overall to the Cincinnati Bengals.
In a video posted to Instagram, Pollack highlighted how the Longhorns have been impressing him in recent years, something that has made his acknowledge that the Texas school is catching up to his alma mater Bulldogs and the iconic Crimson Tide.

“The big guys up front are different, man. Like they are big, they are physical on both sides of the line of scrimmage. They are enormous. They are huge. They look like Georgia and Bama did for years and years and years. Like, that’s what they look like. They look elite,” Pollack explained.
“Texas is building a CFB juggernaut,” his social media post was captioned.
Texas Longhorns 2025 CFB Outlook
As alluded to by Pollack, the Longhorns are widely expected to be amongst the very best in college football next season. This year, the program made it to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff, a game in which they lost to the eventual national championship-winning Ohio State Buckeyes.
With quarterback Quinn Ewers declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, Arch Manning is anticipated to take over the offensive unit next year. Manning is an extremely accurate quarterback who has an elite arm, something that allows him to make almost any throw on the football field.

In addition, though his uncles Peyton and Eli were not, Arch is quite mobile and thrives throwing on the run and off-platform as well.
Defensively, the Longhorns had the No. 3 unit in the nation in points against per game this past year. With a relatively young team, there is a belief that the Texas program will remain one of the best teams on both sides of the ball next campaign.
