Luther Burden III, Brady Cook Set to Appear at SEC Media Days

The Missouri Tigers are heading to Dallas for SEC Media Days, but which players will be talking with the media this week?

The entire Southeastern Conference is descending on Dallas this week for the official start of talking season, otherwise known as SEC Media Days. It’s an expanded group this year, and the Missouri Tigers, under the direction of Eli Drinkwitz, are aiming to keep the pressure on at the top following a sensational and somewhat unexpected campaign a year ago.

Talking season requires student-athletes to answer questions from the media masses ahead of the college football season. Who will be representing Missouri as the eyes and ears of national attention turn towards the Tigers this week?

Which Missouri Players Are Attending SEC Media Days?

It’s an almost unwritten rule of college football media days that a program will take their starting QB to address the reporters — unless that team doesn’t have an established starter. No such problem for Missouri, who will take Brady Cook to Dallas after playing a significant role in the Tigers’ success last year. Can he replicate a career year and guide this team to the CFP?

While Cook impressed last season, his job was made substantially easier by the presence of wide receiver Luther Burden III. Arguably the most talented offensive playmaker in the country, Burden totaled 1,212 receiving yards and nine scores for the Tigers a year ago and will be alongside his QB in Dallas and the 2024 college football campaign.

While all eyes were on the Missouri offense last fall, the defense did a stellar job too. They lost several key players and their defensive coordinator but retained several exciting talents on that side of the ball. One of those, Kristian Williams, will represent the Tigers in Dallas after racking up five tackles for loss and forcing two fumbles last fall. He’s one to watch this year.
