The entire Southeastern Conference is descending on Dallas this week for the official start of talking season, otherwise known as SEC Media Days. It’s an expanded group this year, and the Ole Miss Rebels, under the direction of Lane Kiffin, are aiming to notch up a second successive double-digit season — the first time the program will have achieved such a feat since 1959-1960.
Talking season requires student-athletes to answer questions from the media masses ahead of the college football season. Who will be representing Ole Miss as the eyes and ears of national attention turn towards the Rebels this week?
Which Ole Miss Players Are Attending SEC Media Days?
- Jaxson Dart, QB
- Tre Harris, WR
- Jared Ivey, EDGE
It’s an almost unwritten rule of college football media days that a program will take their starting QB to address the reporters — unless that team doesn’t have an established starter. No such problem for Ole Miss, who return Jaxson Dart under center. Entering Year 3 with the program, Dart’s noticeable development should excite Rebels fans and could fuel a run at the Heisman.

Tre Harris will join his quarterback at SEC Media Days as Ole Miss unleashes one of the most potent QB/WR duos in the conference. The former Louisiana Tech product transitioned to the SEC last fall and showed no issues competing at the highest level. Harris enters the 2024 campaign with 2,502 receiving yards and 22 touchdowns on his résumé and could crack 1,000 yards this fall.
Ole Miss added a plethora of pieces to upgrade the defense this offseason but will take their most productive pass rusher from last season to SEC Media Days. Jared Ivey racked up 11.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks in his second season with the Rebels and is poised to terrorize offensive linemen in the conference once more.
