Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, and SEC Coaches Hit the Links at PGA Tour Event

The Regions Tradition golf tournament started on Wednesday and featured both current and former college football head coaches, giving them a chance to enjoy a fun, competitive golf event. With their packed fall schedules on pause, it was the perfect time to unwind and try their hands at golf, and no one should question them taking some free time to relax.

The event began Wednesday morning, with big names like Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, and other SEC coaches joining the lineup. Clips from the tournament quickly spread on Twitter, exciting college football fans who enjoyed watching the coaches show off their swings.

A video shared by the PGA Champions Tour gave fans a clear side-by-side look at the golf swings of Saban, Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Alabama’s new head coach Kalen DeBoer, Auburn’s Hugh Freeze, and Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats.

All the coaches had participated in this tournament before, so it was no surprise that they showed off their skills with ease. However, while the clips didn’t officially rate their shots, fans took matters into their own hands, sharing their opinions on who had the best swing.

A Twitter user commented, “I think DeBoer is pretty good.” Another fan wrote, “DeBoer, and it’s not even close, but Kirby is coming in 2nd😂😂.” Another CFB fan picked his favorite, saying, “Kirby’s swing looks best.”

According to another fan named Rebel Man, “DeBoer is the best overall.” Meanwhile, one user had a different take, stating, “They are all bad, but Kirby’s is the least offensive.”

The results from fans were quite mixed, and since the Twitter post didn’t have an official poll, it’s difficult to determine a clear winner among the coaches.
