Early Signing Day is a big day for most prospective student-athletes who are good enough to earn scholarship offers at the next level. Student-athletes sign their national letters of intent on the sports’ Early Signing Day, thus confirming their commitment to their school of choice at the next level.
For Ryan Wingo, though, it was clear that he wasn’t too concerned with the highlights of Early Signing Day as he reportedly slept in ahead of his Early Signing Day ceremony.
Ryan Wingo Delays Final Decision by Sleeping In
Whether it was blown out of proportion or not, news hit from St. Louis that five-star WR Ryan Wingo was not expected to announce his final decision because of apparently sleeping in.

For some, sleeping in wouldn’t be the biggest deal. But for the Texas Longhorns and their fanbase, due to a recent push by Missouri, Wingo’s absence from the early portion of Early Signing Day caused some panic.
Along the way, however, Wingo himself played fun at the moment in a social media post himself.
😂😂😂😂I’m up lol

Despite a late push from the Missouri Tigers, Wingo was considered a lock to the Longhorns.
Their recent success on the recruiting trail has seen head coach Steve Sarkisian flip five-star safety Xavier Filsaime from the Florida Gators.
The Longhorns are inching up the top-five recruiting classes in the country and Wingo was a cornerstone piece of this puzzle.
In the end, Wingo silenced all doubters and officially pledged his allegiance to the Longhorns just a few hours after his well-documented sleep schedule.

Prepare yourself, SEC fans, Wingo’s a name that this fanbase cares about deeply, so much so that the nation became invested in his sleep schedule.
