‘The Man Is Worth $10 Million’ — RJ Young Makes Eye-Catching Remarks About Deion Sanders’ Success at Colorado

College football analyst RJ Young gets real about Deion Sanders amid potential rumors of the Colorado head coach leaving for the NFL.

Deion Sanders has repeatedly reaffirmed his commitment to Colorado, but uncertainty still looms around his position and future in the program. There have been several rumors about his potential transition to the NFL when his son, Shedeur Sanders, leaves for the pro league in the 2025 draft.

He could be a package deal, and the Cowboys were reportedly in contention for the legend after Jerry Jones fired Mike McCarthy following a disastrous season. But analyst RJ Young believes Deion Sanders’ loyalty to the program is immeasurable.

Analyst Drops His Verdict on Deion Sanders and His Future at Colorado

Colorado has seen a massive transformation under Coach Prime when he took the reins in 2023. A program that was 1-11 a year before improved to 4-8 the next season and eventually punched a postseason Bowl game ticket with a 9-4 record in the 2024 season.

The success doesn’t end there. Sanders was able to produce NFL-worthy athletes, and many of them have already declared for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Travis Hunter, who was lethal for the offense and defense, won the Heisman, and Shedeur Sanders enlisted himself as one of the top QBs in this year’s class. All thanks to Deion Sanders for his preparation strategy beyond the realms of football. Under him, Colorado athletes secured the highest average GPA (3.2) in the fall 2024 semester.

“I look at what Prime is done, and I look at what he has meant to the university in its enrollment numbers, which are up 50% to its fan numbers, which are enormous, to the number of people that are buying Colorado merchandise, and to the spillover into the rest of the university,” analyst RJ Young said in his podcast this week.

“And I think the man is worth $10 million to them, and maybe that’s what the argument is about. Prime gonna get his money. But the other thing that I think is important here is that they’re doing all the things that would lead you to believe that Prime is going to be their future.”

Young added, “So Robert Livingston gives an extension and, you know, a raise after what he did as a defense coordinator; that’s outstanding. You also are bringing in Kaidon Salter, who I think will be your starter; Ju Ju Lewis will be behind him.”

Sanders also made strides in the coaching staff by undergoing a major revamp and hiring Hall of Famers.
