American rapper Gillie Da Kid recently discussed Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.
While discussing the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl 59 win over the Kansas City Chiefs and the recent NFL season with Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Shannon Sharpe, Gillie Da Kid outlined how he reached out to Sanders when he was being criticized by the media during the Shrine Bowl earlier this year.

What Did Gillie Da Kid Say About Shilo Sanders?
During the lead-up to the Shrine Bowl, Sanders was being criticized online for some trending videos in practice that showed him getting beat by various receivers in drills. However, in the actual game itself, he had a strong showing and played very well defensively.
Gillie Da Kid made the comments while appearing on Sharpe’s popular podcast “Club Shay Shay” earlier in the week. The clip has now been posted on the podcast’s official X account.
“@ShiloSanders goes to the Shrine Game. You didn’t see nothing about any other player come out of the Shrine Game: ‘Shilo struggling.’ … F*ck what they’re talking about, and then when the actual game come, y’all have nothing negative to say except for he made plays.” -… pic.twitter.com/8D9dltfWpu

Shilo Sanders 2025 NFL Draft Projection
At this time, it is unclear if the 25-year-old safety will be selected in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft later this April. Some mock drafts include him as a late-round draft choice, while others do not include the son of Deion Sanders at all.
In College Sports Network’s 2025 NFL Draft Top 300 Big Board, Shilo was ranked as the No. 219 prospect available. CSN’s Big Board ranks each prospect purely on talent and does not consider individual team needs or positional value, something that generally tends to influence mock drafts and the NFL Draft.

Shilo had 45 solo tackles, one sack, and one forced fumble on the year for the Buffaloes. He is a talented defensive player when healthy but has struggled with various injuries over the past few seasons.
Shilo is a strong tackler who has the ability to set the tone for his team, something he did numerous times this year for the Buffaloes. In addition, he has a high football IQ, which allows him to create turnovers with ease for his team.
