Ranking the Top 5 Offensive Players Committed To Marcus Freeman’s Notre Dame in 2026

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are coming off a fantastic season. They won three college football playoff games en route to a national championship appearance before eventually losing to Ohio State.

This offseason, the Fighting Irish have been just as good on the recruiting trail, with their 2026 class being ranked as the second-best in the country. The class boasts some elite offensive talent and includes potential future game changers for Notre Dame.

Breaking Down Notre Dame’s 2026 Offensive Recruiting Board: Top commits, Position Outlooks, and Rising Stars In The Irish Class

While there are plenty of stars in Notre Dame’s 2026 recruiting class, these five offensive players are the best they have brought in thus far. All of the recruiting data below comes from 247Sports.

    1) Javian Osborne, RB

Osborne is ranked as the 90th-best player and the sixth-best running back in the class of 2026. The Texas native committed to the Irish earlier this month and should make an immediate impact the moment he gets to campus.

Osborne dominated in 2024, running for 1,227 yards and 25 TDs, averaging 6.5 yards per carry. He was named to the Under Armor All-American roster, and projects to be an NFL talent one day.

    2) Jonaz Walton, RB

Jonaz Walton is the second four-star running back that the Irish have signed in their 2026 class. Walton is ranked as the 126th-best player and the ninth-best running back in the country.

The Georgia native has an elite frame already, standing at 5’8″ and weighing 205 pounds. He’s a dynamic player-maker who can gain yards on the ground and as a receiver, making him even more valuable. I expect him to have a great career with Notre Dame.

    3) Noah Grubbs, QB

Notre Dame may have found their quarterback of the future in Noah Grubbs. The 2026 quarterback is ranked as the 173rd best player and the 11th best quarterback in the country.

Grubbs is built like a pro-style quarterback, standing at 6’4″ and weighing 205 pounds. He has great mechanics and is a pure passer. He fits Notre Dame’s offense well and projects to be the starter for the Irish by his junior season.

    4) Gregory Patrick, OT

Notre Dame football pumps out elite offensive linemen to the NFL, and it’s because they are able to land and develop high school players like Gregory Patrick. Patrick is the 180th best player and 15th best tackle in the 2026 class, and should have an amazing career with the Irish.

At just 16 years old, Patrick stands at 6’5″ and weighs 275 pounds, and has the opportunity to fill out that frame even more during his senior season. He’s athletic for his size and should fit Notre Dame’s scheme well.

    5) Bubba Frazier, WR

Frazier is the highest-rated receiver in Notre Dame’s 2026 class, coming in as the 292nd best player and 47th best receiver in the country. Frazier is more of an offensive gadget than a pure wide receiver and should be able to create big plays at the next level.

During his sophomore and junior seasons, he’s racked up a whopping 2400 scrimmage yards with touches both as a wide receiver and out of the backfield. He should fill the slot role for Notre Dame and will be an exciting weapon once he gets on campus.
