Tetairoa McMillan Reveals the Player He Emulates

With the NFL draft right around the corner, College Sports Network has just unveiled scouting reports on the top 100 prospects for the 2025 NFL draft. Guess who’s strutting in at number four? Arizona Wildcats wide receiver McMillan. This guy is talented, and he knows it.

In a recent interview with “Yahoo! Sports,” the WR found himself in a pickle when asked which player he emulates. After some hesitation, he eventually dropped a name.

“Most of the people that I’ve stolen from have been in practice. So at Arizona, I was fortunate enough to play alongside Jacob Cowing, fourth-round pick to the 49ers, and we’re different players; he’s super small, super agile, shifty. I mean, I have the advantage at 6’4”, but me being 6’4” and able to run routes like he can, accelerate like he can, I mean, why not.”

In his true freshman year in 2022, McMillan ranked 24th nationally, averaging 18.0 yards per reception. In 2023, he was 16th nationally, with 10 touchdowns, and third in receptions over 10, 20, and 30 yards. The WR didn’t slow down in 2024, finishing third nationally for receptions or more yards.

McMillan finished his stellar Arizona career first with 3,423 receiving yards, third with 26 touchdown touches, and fourth with 213 receptions.

His 2023 performances earned him second-team All-American honors from The Associated Press and The Sporting News. In 2024, he earned consensus first-team All-American recognition.

At 6’4″, McMillan boasts exceptional height for a wide receiver. His long strides, remarkable acceleration for his size, and rare false steps allow him to maximize his catch radius.
