Arch Manning and the Longhorns secured a thrilling 27-17 victory against Texas A&M on Friday night.
Texas is now sitting at an overall record of 9-3 with a real chance of making it to the playoffs, as the Aggies were a tough team to beat, and the Longhorns were the first one to beat them this season.
Manning had an impressive role to play in this game, after being put on the hot seat after a slow 2025 season start, fans and analysts are now thrilled to see the Texas QB show off his skills.
Popular analyst Clay Travis made a bold statement on Arch Manning’s NFL Draft future and predicted him to be the No. 1 overall pick in 2027, drawing some flak from the fans.
“CJ Carr is still alive my guy. Your SEC bias is insane lmao.” one fan commented.
“Bit of a contradicting statement isnt it? You noted yourself how much better he is playing now. His critics didnt exist for no reason, he was playing horribly.” another fan noted.
“He still has the same issues. Happy feet under pressure. Inaccurate when the windows get tight. Even on the big TD that put them up, he almost threw it out of the back of the endzone. The kid might get better. But 12 weeks in, he isn’t close to what the media made him in the offseason. Even with some growth.” another fan added.
“He throws a damn wounded duck on long throws ….. how is that first over all material?.” another fan questioned.
“I keep giving the kid second chances, but he’s just not the great amazing QB guys like you make him out to be. He’s good, no doubt about that, but he’s not a #1 draft pick on skill. Not yet anyway. Maybe on ticket sales for that last name?.” another fan said.
“You misspelled Jeremiah Smith.” another fan sarcastically said.
Arch Manning is going to be the number one overall pick in 2027. Guy has gotten so much better since the start of the season. All of his critics are starting to look like complete morons.

Steve Sarkisian Makes Blunt Playoffs Plea for Arch Manning and Co.
While Texas was considered among the strongest teams during the 2025 preseason, their hype was questioned as they struggled in a few games early in the season.
However, the Longhorns were able to pick up the pace and are now seem to have found their momentum, which is why Steve Sarkisian believes Arch Manning and Co. deserve to have their spot in the Playoffs this year.
“So, is that what college football’s about? Don’t play anybody and just have a good record? Or play the best and put the best teams in the playoffs? We’re one of the best teams.” Sarkisian said.
Arch Manning completed 14 of 19 passes and threw for 179 yards with two touchdowns.
