Who’s In for Oregon From The Transfer Portal?

According to On3 Sports, Oregon didn’t acquire any players through the transfer portal in the spring window.

Who’s Out for Oregon From The Transfer Portal?

    Brodie Wright, IOL

Brodie Wright is a redshirt freshman interior offensive lineman who has entered the portal. He now seeks to find a new home for a better opportunity to play in games and get a larger role.

Wright is from Clackamas, OR, and is still figuring out where his next destination might end up.

    Roderick Pleasant, CB

Roderick Pleasant is a sophomore cornerback for the Ducks. He played the past two seasons with Oregon and has three years of eligibility remaining at the college football level.

In 2024, he played in four games before taking a redshirt. Pleasant, from Gardena, CA, has committed to UCLA, a college in his home state. He is looking for a bigger role with UCLA and hopes to reach the next level.

    Luke Dunne, P

Luke Dunne, Oregon’s freshman punter, has officially entered the transfer portal, hoping to see the field more in his next home. Dunne averaged 42.67 yards on nine punts last season and 40.67 yards on three punts while redshirting and appearing in five games in 2023.

Dunne found his next home remaining in the Big 10 with Washington, committing to Washington on this past Friday. Oregon now has its returning two-year starter, Ross James, as its only punter.

    Preston Alford, RB

Preston Alford, Oregon’s red-shirt sophomore running back, became the third transfer to enter the portal during the spring window. Alford was a walk-on slot receiver for the Ducks. Alford played eight snaps on special teams last season and one in the Holiday Bowl win over North Carolina.

He leaves the Ducks with two years’ of eligibility remaining. His departure is partly a casualty of the new 105-player roster limit. Still, as an athlete with experience in a top Division I program, Alford could become a valuable addition to a lower rung of the football team.
