Will Ricky Pearsall Play Week 11? What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About 49ers WR Status

The San Francisco 49ers have been bitten hard by the injury bug, with some of its biggest names like Brock Purdy missing games this season. Among the injured is Ricky Pearsall, who has now started practicing at a limited capacity with his teammates.

Pearsall has been one of the top wide receivers for the Niners, and he had been out since getting injured against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Week 4. Will he be healthy enough to play in Week 11?

    Ricky Pearsall Injury Update

Pearsall suffered a PCL injury in his knee against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Week 4, and he has not played since. San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, however, was confident that the wide receiver would not be out for a long time. as he has been telling reporters.

With him now practicing at a limited capacity, this is seen as a positive sign that he is nearing a full recovery. The 49ers, with all the injuries happening around the team, have been very careful in handling his injury so far. He spoke with The Athletic regarding his recovery:

“I wouldn’t say there were setbacks, but yeah, I mean, we all expected me to come back earlier,” Pearsall said. “But if you look at how PCLs recover, especially skill guys like me, playing receiver … it’s not an easy process to just turn around in a week. Initially, yes, I was telling myself, ‘Come back as quick as possible.’ It just didn’t turn out that way.”

Is Ricky Pearsall Playing Week 11 vs. Cardinals

As for if he will be able to play on Week 11 against the Arizona Cardinals, Niners head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke with KNBR and confirmed that yes, Ricky Pearsall will be in action against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Not only that, but he will be playing alongside Brock Purdy, who is also returning the very same week.

    Ricky Pearsall Fantasy Outlook

With the coach himself confirming that the top wide receiver will be playing on Week 11, Fantasy owners should be able to breathe a sigh of relief. He might still need to shake off some rust, but otherwise, he is good to go. The confirmation from Shanahan proves that.

Him and Purdy have worked very well in particular, so Fantasy managers should expect him to produce some numbers on Sunday.
