“Fire Zac Taylor” Trends After Bengals Blow 15-Point Lead in Shocking Loss to Winless Jets

The Cincinnati Bengals managed to lose to the New York Jets, arguably the worst team in the NFL. The Bengals blew what at one point was a 15-point lead.

The offense did put in the work, as they lost 38-39, with veteran Joe Flacco managing a good game for Cincinnati. He threw for 223 yards, with two touchdown passes and a completion percentage of 61.7%.

The fans didn’t wait too long to complain about the coaching mistakes committed by the Bengals. X was full of messages calling for coaching staff changes at Cincinnati.

“Fire ZAC TAYLOR!!  #Bengals,” wrote one fan

“🤡 🤡 🤡… microcosm of who Zac Taylor is as a coach and play caller. What an absolute hilariously horrendous loss,” complained another fan

“Zac Taylor and Duke Tobin would both be fired in every other major market in the NFL before the stands even emptied #WhoDey,” explained another person

Calls for some personnel moves at Cincinnati have increased.

“No reason for Duke Tobin and Zac Taylor should have jobs by tonight,” claimed someone

“Doesn’t fix anything in the short term, but for the love of gawd; Fire Zac Taylor,” demanded someone

Some fans just can’t believe there haven’t been any moves yet at Cincinnati.

“There’s just no way I woke up this morning to no one from the Bengals coaching staff being let go. There really is just no excuse. Yesterday was embarrassing,” wrote someone

Is the front office to blame?

“The Bengals front office never speaks during the season or really, ever. There’s zero accountability for failed seasons or missed draft picks. That’s not how an NFL team should operate,” explained someone

Joe Flacco Low-Key Blames The Cincinnati Bengals’ Defense For The Defeat To The New York Jets

Joe Flacco’s press conference after the defeat was somewhat weird. On the one hand, he tried to ostensibly say members of the offense shouldn’t judge the performance of their teammates in defense. However, the way in which he phrased it seems to imply he actually thought otherwise:

“There’s no judging your brothers for not playing up to their expectations.”

Joe Flacco should be careful with these kinds of remarks. While they may be warranted, he has been on the Cincinnati Bengals roster for less than a month. He could easily lose the support of the locker room.
