Deion Sanders’ son Shilo Sanders and Shaquille O’Neal’s son Shareef O’Neal recently came across at a public place inside a store or something. The duo have one thing in common. They both have Hall of Fame fathers.
On Wednesday, when they met, Shilo, who was recording for his channel, asked Shareef:
“Whose dad’s the cheapest out of both of us?”
Both Sanders and Shaq are known to be strict fathers. Given the rough life they have seen, they haven’t let any of their sons get anything easily without hard work. Shilo asked Shareef if his $500 million worth father (via Celebrity Net Worth) ever denied him of buying Jordans. Shareef answered:
“I wasn’t even thinking about no Jordans growing up. It was straight Under Armour, bro. Because it was free.”
Shareef revealed the reward the four-time NBA champion set for his children in case they were able to impress him.
“If y’all do something good, I’ll take y’all to Hooters. That’s the only reward. He goes, I’ll take y’all to Hooters,” Shareef said.
Shilo could completely understand what Shareef was trying to say there. Even he echoed a similar stuff when talking about Coach Prime’s way of rewarding his children.
“I’d say my dad was like, if you do something good, we’ll go to Red Lobster or Golden Corral,” Shilo said.

What’s Shilo Sanders And Shareef O’Neal Are Upto Lately Professionally?
Shilo Sanders and Shareef O’Neal have both suffered early stumbles in their professional careers for different reasons.
Shilo went undrafted in the 2025 NFL draft before being signed as UDFA by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, after a slapping incident in a preseason game, he was waived by the team. After being waived, he worked out with the San Francisco 49ers in hopes of staying in the NFL. However, an active opportunity hasn’t come by so far.
Like Shilo, even Shareef O’Neal went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. He played for the NBA G League Ignite during the 2022–23 season. He signed with the Stockton Kings (the G League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings) but was waived on November 7, 2024 after a brief stint. At the moment, he doesn’t appear to be actively involved in professional basketball.
