The Giants have moved on from Coach Brian Daboll after the Giants fell to the Bears in Week 10. New York sits at 2-8 and at the bottom of the division in what has been an up-and-down season.
To make matters worse, franchise quarterback Jaxson Dart got injured in the game with a concussion. Now the team will be hunting for their new head coach. Here are 3 coaches who could also follow a similar path.
Top 3 Candidates to get Fired
Kevin Stefankski: Cleveland Browns
The Browns simply have been hard to watch this season. Can you even ask more of the defense if you’re a Browns fan? Not sure that you can. Dillon Gaberial doesn’t look like the answer either. Stefanski doesn’t seem to have any answers to fix this team. It might be time for the Browns to move on.
Mike McDaniel – Miami Dolphins
McDaniel’s job feels safer, but not secure. Miami’s 30-13 win over Buffalo bought time, yet the inconsistency remains. The offense flickers: great one week, lifeless the next. The next few games against the Saints and Jets should help, but if he dips below .500 again, pressure will climb fast. McDaniel’s creativity keeps him relevant, though patience in Miami won’t last forever
Pete Carroll: Las Vegas Raiders
The Pete Carroll and Geno Smith experiment seems like a failure. What else can you say about a team that went from playoffs to rebuild. The offense is quite similar to Cleveland’s story. They rank at the bottom of the league in almost everything. If they can’t figure it out by the end of the year, Carroll could be getting the boot in Vegas.
Bottom Line
The NFL has only just crossed over the midpoint in the season. It could be a little early to start predicting who is going to get fired. Although if these three teams can’t turn it around, there is a good chance these coaches are gone. Brian Daboll could be just the start of another spin of the NFL coaching carousel.
