Kyler Murray Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Cardinals QB Status Ahead of Week 11

After having his best season last year in the past three years, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray looked to take the Cardinals to the next level and back to the playoffs this season.

With Murray as the team’s starting quarterback the last seven seasons, the Cardinals have only made the postseason once, which came in 2021. Murray began the season starting the first five games for Arizona, going 2-3 as the starter. He threw for 962 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions while completing 68.3 percent of passes before his season came to a halt.

    What Happened to Kyler Murray?

Kyler Murray suffered a foot injury in Week 5 against the Tennessee Titans. He remained in the game before being ruled out for the next three games. As a result of the injury, the Cardinals eventually placed him on injured reserve on November 5, giving him more time to recover from the injury.

Is Kyler Murray Playing in Week 11?

No, Kyler Murray is not playing Week 11 against the San Francisco 49ers. Since he was placed on injured on November 5, the earliest he can return is on December 7 in Week 14 against the Los Angeles Rams. Jacoby Brissett will continue to be the team’s starting quarterback.

    Kyler Murray Fantasy Outlook

There isn’t much of a fantasy outlook for Kyler Murray for this season. Even if he did return as early as he could, he would only be active for five games. There’s also a chance that the team doesn’t go back to him as they may continue to stick with Brissett.

Fantasy Replacements For Kyler Murray This Week

Starting Kyler Murray‘s backup Jacoby Brissett might be a good option in fantasy this week if available on the waiver wire. Most or some of Murray fantasy owners likely picked up Brissett when they saw Murray inactive.

Other options on the waiver could include Geno Smith the Dallas Cowboys, Trevor Lawrence against the Los Angeles Chargers, or Aaron Rodgers against the Cincinnati Bengals.
