During the Buffalo Bills‘ upset loss to the Houston Texans in Week 12, fans grew concerned after Bills quarterback Josh Allen went down hard during the game and was apparently injured. Allen got sacked a total of eight times during that game, and one particular hit was considered the most jarring.

Here is a closer look at that sack, which came from Texans pass rusher Will Anderson Jr., who hit Allen from behind and dragged him into the turf.

What Happened to Josh Allen?
After Anderson dragged him into the turf, Josh Allen was shown landing on his shoulder, and this was where he got hurt, not from the sack itself.
Allen landed awkwardly, dropping the football before being shown kicking his legs in pain and then rolling over while holding his arm. He was soon seen having his left elbow, which was where he landed, getting wrapped up, and it was soon pointed out that it was a turf-burn wrap that they were using on the Bills quarterback. The Bills QB1 noted after the game that his arm was not hurt after the hit, but it did feel numb afterwards.
Should Josh Allen be injured, he joins a long list of Bills players currently on the shelf, including cornerback Christian Benford, linebacker Terrel Bernard, offensive linemen Connor McGovern and Spencer Brown. The quarterback has been sacked a lot during the last few games, and having some of its offensive line players injured was not helping at all.
How Serious Is Josh Allen’s Injury?
Josh Allen was pretty banged up after that loss against the Texans on Sunday, but he did finish the game. While he was indeed hit hard, Bills fans and Fantasy managers who have him should not be concerned, especially as the Bills are on a bye week for Week 12. This comes just in time as the team deals with a lot of players who are hurt at the moment.
After their one-week break, however, Allen and the rest of the Bills will be back as they take on the Pittsburgh Steelers next in their hunt for a playoff spot.
