    Alvin Kamara Injury Update: What Fantasy Owners Need to Know About Saints RB Status Ahead of Week 13

    It’s been a disastrous season for Alvin Kamara and the New Orleans Saints.

    Entering Week 13’s game against the Miami Dolphins, the Saints hold one of the worst records in football at 2-9, and also in last place in the NFC South.

    Kamara, who has made the postseason in each of his first four seasons (2017-2020) has not made been on a postseason team with the Saints in the last four seasons and counting.

    Though they won’t be playing for playoff implications this weekend, a win is still good for some momentum heading into the offseason.

    What Happened to Alvin Kamara?

    During last week’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, Alvin Kamara suffered a knee injury, which was later revealed to be an MCL sprain. Leading up to the Saints’ Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins, Kamara didn’t practice this week.

    Will Alvin Kamara Play Week 13? 

    As a result, the Saints ruled out Alvin Kamara on Friday afternoon. He will not play this Sunday against the Miami Dolphins. The Saints dodged a bullet as Kamara will not be placed on injured reserve.

    Alvin Kamara Fantasy Outlook

    Alvin Kamara has played in 11 games this season for the New Orleans Saints this season, and hasn’t been that productive. He’s only rushed for one touchdown and has averaged less than four yards per carry (3.6.)

    Kamara has 471 rushing yards and 186 receiving yards on 39 catches.

    Fantasy Replacements For Alvin Kamara This Week

    If you’ve been starting Alvin Kamara in fantasy, chances are he’s a flex start. For fantasy owners, they’ll likely be finding a player on the waiver wire may to replace that void.

    Some solid options could include Jacksonville Jaguars backup RB Bhayshul Tuten, who has 255 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the season. Houston Texans rookie WR Jayden Higgins has had two receiving touchdown in the last three games and could also be a flex replacement.
