Earlier in the week, Pro Football Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor had some interesting things to say about the off-field interests of former Penn State Nittany Lions star Micah Parsons.
Taylor detailed how Parsons is a great player in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys. However, he also indicated that he wanted the talented linebacker to focus more on football and less on podcasts.

What Did Lawrence Taylor Say About Micah Parsons?
Parsons hosts “The Edge with Micah Parsons Podcast.” According to the YouTube profile’s description, the account “provides an inside perspective on the Dallas Cowboys season and breaks down the latest NFL news and storylines every week.”
The popular social media profile “Dov Kleiman” posted the news on X, providing a description and analysis of Taylor’s comments.

Dallas Cowboys 2024 Season Review and 2025 Outlook
The Cowboys struggled mightily throughout the 2024 season. The combination of various key injuries to stars like Parsons, quarterback Dak Prescott, and wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, as well as poor play-calling and coaching at some points, contributed to the disappointing season for the Cowboys.
After going 12-5 the season prior and winning the NFC East, the Cowboys finished third in the division this year with a 7-10 record.
On the campaign, Parsons had 43 total tackles, 30 solo tackles, 12 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Although they are still extremely impressive, all the statistics outlined were the lowest of Parsons’ career, except for his forced fumbles.

As a result, though injuries may have been a factor in this, it is evident that Parsons did not perform to the levels we have seen from him in the past few seasons.
This offseason, owner Jerry Jones and the Cowboys appointed offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to be the organization’s new head coach. Despite the poor season last year, the Cowboys still do have some very talented players on their roster and can drastically improve the team’s weaknesses in free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft.
However, it is clear that Taylor thinks Parsons should focus more on football going forward.
