The Texas Tech Red Raiders draft classes are headlined by All-Pro QB Patrick Mahomes, but before Mahomes was selected, the Red Raiders had sent their fair share of players into the NFL. In total, they’ve seen 165 total players in the NFL Draft, including a No. 1 overall pick, nine first-rounders, and a total of 90 in the seven-round era.
Mahomes was the second Red Raider to be drafted with the 10th overall pick, joining Michael Crabtree at the spot. Dave Parks stands as the lone Texas Tech player drafted inside the top seven selections, landing with the first overall pick in the 1964 NFL Draft.
