Michigan Offers 2026 CB Traeviss Stevenson, Puts Pressure on Georgia Tech

The 6’1″, 181-pound Stevenson is currently ranked as the No. 46 cornerback in the 2026 class by 247Sports. Although he’s committed to Georgia Tech, Stevenson is keeping his recruitment open.

He recently made an unofficial visit to the Yellow Jackets. He felt comfortable with the coaching staff and decided early, despite scheduling his official visit to Atlanta from June 6 to June 8.

Michigan is among several top programs pursuing him; he also has offers from the Texas Longhorns, Stanford Cardinal, and Florida State Seminoles. The three-star CB is scheduled to visit Ann Arbor on May 30.

As a Brooks County (GA) junior in the 2024 season, Stevenson posted impressive stats. Playing on both sides of the ball, he contributed 29 receptions for 244 yards and a touchdown on offense.

He stood out on defense, ranking third on the team in total tackles with 74. His defensive stat sheet also included 10 pass breakups, four interceptions, one forced fumble, and a recovery.

Stevenson had several standout performances, including a dominant outing against Irwin County, where he notched 10 tackles, forced a fumble, and recovered one. His breakout moment came in the season opener against Cook, where he grabbed two interceptions and displayed elite ball-hawking instincts.

Stevenson is just one of several prospects that Michigan is attempting to flip during this cycle. Other targets are five-star WR Tristen Keys (LSU), four-star LB Shadarius Toodle (Auburn), four-star edge Samu Moala (Texas A&M), and four-star CB Shavar Young Jr. (Clemson).

As of this writing, Michigan’s 2026 recruiting class has six commitments and holds the No. 41 spot nationally, according to 247Sports. If head coach Moore hopes to land Stevenson and build a class that rivals last year’s success, he and his staff need to kick their recruiting efforts into high gear.
