Georgia Bulldogs fans rarely need extra reasons to get excited for an upcoming football season. Yet, the 2024 campaign feels a bit different. With something to prove and a returning core of players under Kirby Smart, this fall could see their return to National Champion glory once again.
Despite those reasons returning to Athens, it’s the entrance of a handful of new players is starting to generate even buzz for 2024. One of those new players is absolutely USC transfer Michael Jackson III.
“A Silent Killer” – Michael Jackson III Draws Significant Praise
Though underutilized in the talented USC WR corps, Jackson is every bit of a dominant athlete. Looking back at his high school highlights and his recruiting profile, the former four-star recruit from Desert Pines High School in Las Vegas should be underutilized in the Georgia offense no more.
“He’s a really good player,” USC RB MarShawn Lloyd had to say about Jackson during the 2024 NFL Combine. “He’s very coachable, I think he’s going to do really well at Georgia.”

Lloyd was very complimentary of Jackson’s talents during their time together at USC. Like his underutilization, Lloyd spoke about how he was rarely heard from, but always made plays.
“He’s a silent killer,” Lloyd said. “He doesn’t say much at all, but it doesn’t matter, he’s a silent killer.”
Jackson certainly did enough when he was on the field at USC, despite an all-star cast of receivers around him. He did enough to earn the respect of his teammates, old and new, and generate an incredible amount of buzz in the transfer portal.
In three seasons at USC, Jackson hauled in 46 receptions for 488 yards and five touchdowns. It was his electricity with the ball in his hands that stood out, but his all-around play stood out to Lloyd and his former USC teammates.
When asked about what Jackson does so well that made him stand out, the answer to Lloyd was simple.
“Everything.”
